In the role of investment director and senior portfolio manager, Garrett Quigley oversees Dimensional's portfolio management team in London. He also chairs the Investment Committee of Dimensional Fund Advisors Ltd. and sits on Dimensional's Investment Policy Committee. He plays a key role in communicating the firm's investment strategies to existing and prospective clients and is a regular presenter at internal and external conferences.
Garrett has done extensive research with Rex Sinquefield into the sources of performance in UK markets and mutual funds, highlighted by the publication of "Performance of UK Equity Unit Trusts" in the inaugural issue of the Journal of Asset Management. He also co-authored with Elroy Dimson and Stefan Nagel of the London Business School a research paper on the value effect in the UK stock market, "Capturing the Value Premium in the United Kingdom," published in the Financial Analysts Journal.
Garrett joined Dimensional's London office in 1992 after serving as a software consultant for Prudential plc UK. He earned a Master's degree in finance in 2002 from the London Business School, an MSc. in 1988 from Brunel University, UK, and a BA in 1985 from Trinity College, Ireland.
